Raise calcium levels to those found in natural seawater.
- Contains 77% (minimum) pure, biologically available calcium
- contains no Phosphate, Silicate or Nitrate
- will not promote brown or green algae growth
Corals absorb Calcium along with other elements and fuse it with carbonates to form their hard skeletons. Calcium is vital for corals and depleted levels will prevent coral growth and eventually lead to a decline in the health of corals. Along with Magnesium, Strontium and Carbonates, they form the basic building blocks of coral skeletal structures. Calcium is vital for healthy growth in corals and for maintaining coral skeletons. In closed aquarium systems, calcium often becomes depleted or precipitated and regular calcium dosing is required to maintain these levels.
Stock Solution Preparation
Add 10g (2 teaspoons) to 250ml RO water or distilled water and stir until completely dissolved. ALWAYS use this stock solution when dosing CalciumPLUS Granulated to the aquarium. NEVER add granules directly into the aquarium as this will cause percipitation.
Directions for Use : Add 5ml of stock solution to every 100lts of aquarium water until the desired calcium levels are achieved (400ppm/litre to 420ppm/liter) Use OAL’s calcium test kit to accurately determine calcium levels in your aquarium. Increase or decrease CalciumPLUS supplementation as required. Do not supplement aquarium with CalciumPLUS directly after dosing with alkalinityPLUS or KalkPLUS. Wait 6 hours between dosing.
